Sam’s Cookies

  • 1 lb butter
  • 2 c white sugar
  • 2 c brown sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 5 c oatmeal
  • 4 c flour
  • 2 tsp baking soda
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 4 c chocolate chips

cream the butter and sugars and eggs and vanilla, then add the dry ingredients. Form into 1 1/2 inch balls *do not flatten*. Bake at 375 degrees for 10 minutes.

These cookies are the favourite in our house.

    🙂 Hey Susan,

    They look delicious…I have to watch my carb intake though lol!
    My eldest son is training to become a Chef, I keep encouraging him to develop his Blog to include more of these types of post but admittedly he has been busy lately.

    They are delicious Phil! I suggest that if you are watching your carbs, that you do not try these, as it is very difficult to only have one. My son takes a stack of 6 or more. When I found the recipe about 20 years ago, it was called George’s cookies. Since then we have renamed it, Sam’s cookie because he loves them so much.
