Love Avocado

A number of fruits contain minerals, nutrients and vitamins that will help make the body healthier and stronger. But it should be noted that fruits also contain calories, and this is very evident in avocados.

But how many calories does an avocado have? If we look at a regular sized avocado, there will be about 300 to 350 calories in it. This is about 20 times greater than other fruits. And with that in mind, eating 2 avocados is similar to eating a small full meal. In addition, the calories inside avocados are in the form of oil and fats. Don’t react just yet, because the avocado fats are mono-unsaturated fats. Do note that these are the good types of fats. In addition, it is this kind of fat that helps reduce the bad cholesterol in the body. Other fat containing fruits with the similar effects are nuts and olives.

After reading about the calorie content of an avocado fruit, are we even aware of what calories are? Similar to a coin, calories have two sides, the good and the bad or should I say the not so good.

Calories can be converted into energy, something that can fuel the body. Distance is measured by meters while energy is measured by calories. With that in mind, we can say that the bigger the calorie content of a food or fruit, the bigger the energy that we can derive from that food or fruit after eating.

Calories will keep us warm during days when the temperature is cold. However, be smart and sensitive in eating food or fruits that has high calorie content. Remember that too much of anything is bad for the health.

If you take in more calories than what you can burn up or use, odds are, that the extra calorie or “energy” will be kept by the body in the form of fats.
